We are recruiting a Goods, compliance & Data Co-ordinator!

Fruitful Abundance is the area’s leading food rescue CIC: we measure our impact through the tonnes of produce we prevent from going into landfill and by the individuals, families and other organisations who benefit from our network of shops and cafes.

We are fortunate to have a team of around a hundred volunteers, without whom we couldn’t exist. But with the compliance landscape stricter than ever, we wish to add a role to our skeleton staff. It will ensure the safety of our customers and teams continue to be our primary concern. The person in the role will be responsible for:

•Managing the stock in and out of our distribution hub and keeping records of same and managing rotation;
•Monitoring and logging correct storage, including temperatures for chilled goods;
•Being responsible (with our project coordinator) for H&S compliance reporting, regular safety walks, staff inductions and team briefings;
•Ensuring hygiene five star rating is maintained;

The role will include late shifts and or weekend working and will necessitate:
•Supervision of goods weights and record keeping;
•Checks on H&S and hygiene at Cafe Zero and record keeping if same;
•Assisting cafes with goods allocations;
•Social media posts to promote CIC;
•Being point of contact for new volunteers;
•Keeping financial records for projects.

We wish to recruit an individual with excellent customer and volunteer management skills with:

Commitment to food rescue;
Experience in food retail or catering;
Understanding and qualification in H&S (including food hygiene, testing and logging);
Commitment to further training in same;
Experience in accountability/responsibility for compliance, experience in risk assessment and implementation;
Able to lift and do ladder work;
Prepared for some anti-social hours.
Fire safety and first aid experience desirable;

We offer a part time role (hours can be discussed but will include some evening and weekend shifts) at £9 an hour; it will include a trial period.
