Changing the destiny of unsold food

Fruitful Abundance collects surplus food from supermarkets and shares it through a network of shops, pop-ups, cafes, schools and charities. Every year our volunteers save hundreds of tonnes of produce - so our customers enjoy good quality meals, whatever their circumstances.

Passionate about saving food

Our mission is to stop good food from going to waste. Day in day out, at all hours, our volunteers collect surplus good food.

We are a not-for-profit enterprise (CIC) and measure our impact by the tonnage of nutritious produce we rescue. But we also focused on how our outlets serve the needs of all customers – especially those in food poverty or social isolation.

Fruitful Abundance also raises awareness about what people throw in the bin: because helping the environment also makes household budgets go further. Wasted food is a huge challenge for the planet, with lorry loads ending up in landfill every minute. We are part of a movement to make the system more sustainable.

Our volunteers are crucial: they collect food from supermarkets; process and store produce in our shops and stalls; cook or serve meals or help with events. If you can spare some time, please do get in touch.

Help our supply chain

We are supported by a range of high street names, but also receive produce from smaller shops, restaurants and caterers, as well as large food producers and those with allotments or smallholdings. We welcome new suppliers.
